Photo View: (12-583) J. SACKREUTER, FRANKFURT, SIDE BY SIDE 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN

Very nice quality little shotgun with fancy wood and a cheekpiece. This is a hammer double with the crossbolt locking mechanism. Metal is all a silvery coloration, fine damascus pattern, frame and lock work have very ornate and delicate engravings which carries forth to the forearm latch, triggerguard, lower tang and also on the hammers. There are some case colors remaining in protected areas such as under the opening lever. Very nice crisp action and hammers work very well. Bores are bright and shiny with some light pitting toward the chamber end. As stated, the wood is very fancy and in good cond with no cracks or losses on the buttplate; forearm also very nice with a couple of dings and a very slight sliver missing where it meets the bbl. Length of pull is quite short; evidently made for a woman upland shooter or perhaps a kid. Includes sling swivels of the European style. Neat and petite!
