Inscription on the 24" bbl reads: 'Manton & Co. Calcutta'. This 1908 rifle was evidently exported to India; possibly a safari gun? Or maybe used to take care of business in and around Calcutta-it was a rough place. Nice condition gun with exc bbl blue and good rec blue, standard front and folding leaf rear sights, good solid nice fitting wood with crescent butt, Winchester sling eyes, VG bore. Letter.
