Rare Germanic style engraving which is quite elaborate. Nice condition on barrel and frame, cylinder engraving shows more wear. Overall gun retains considerable traces of original silver finish; balance has flaked to a pleasing gray patina coloration. Two piece walnut grips missing a small sliver near the butt. Pictured on page 27 in the Smith and Wesson book by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas.
