Serial number 31,XXX. Caliber 52. Overall gun shows a fair amount of weathering with light pitting here and there on the barrel and receiver, metal is a dark brown patina coloration. Wood weathered with 6 brass tacks on forearm and 52 brass tacks on the buttstock. A 6” long piece of raw hide is sinew stitched to central area of stock as well. Rear sight is missing but the rear sling ring is intact. This is a most colorfully decorated Spencer and has undoubtedly seen Indian usage.
