1-1/2 frame, 28” Vulcan Steel bbls, F & F, near excellent bores, 99% shiny barrel blue, considerable vivid case colors on frame. Original checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock have also been custom relief carved extensively; leaves and vines on forearm and raised flats. Rear of buttstock almost completely covered with extensive leaves and vines with pheasant and grouse on left; duck and squirrel on right-has a Germanic look, 14-1/2” pull to the end of the original hardrubber buttplate. Carving signed ‘Payne’.
