Fine shiny bore, some pitting is present near the ends of the barrel, magazine tube and front retaining band otherwise there are just a few scattered spots on the remaining barrel and magazine surfaces. Overall metal is generally a plummish blue patina coloration, excellent traces of vivid blue in protected areas. Original sights, fine walnut, receiver is marked 'W.F. & Co.'. Complete with Factory Letter which indicates that this gun was shipped directly to Wells Fargo in San Francisco. This is the only Wells Fargo marked Colt Lightning that is known.
