Original 28” #3 full octagon barrel, original sights include a Spirit Level front and a vernier folding tang, excellent bore. Original 3X grade pistol grip checkered Schuetzen style stock is excellent with most original lacquer remaining, helm style buttplate and Dutch pattern cheekpiece. Overall gun is in excellent condition with 98% original barrel blue remaining, 75-80% bright vivid case colors. The Schuetzen rifles with a case colored frame are really quite unusual, they’re generally later guns than that; complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity listing all the features mentioned except that the letter states, ‘no rear sight seat’ and this has got a sight dovetail for a rear sight-probably an oversight or somebody put it in at a later time. If that’s the case, they did a perfect job.
