Original fancy checkered deluxe wood is in about VG condition; a fair amount of wear to the checkering but still sound and solid with correct shotgun style buttplate, full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube. Original 4 leaf express rear sight as well as a dovetail about an inch long for some kind of English sight at one time; whether it’s original or not, I’m not sure. Overall metal is an aged plum brown patina coloration, good corners, correct thumbprint dustcover, early 1st Model; complete with Factory Letter stating that it was returned for a dustcover. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

22” round barrel, button magazine, 85% lustrous barrel blue remaining, the balance turning plummish, considerable vivid case colors remain on frame, hammer and lever; generous amount of protective lacquer is present as well. Fine+ checkered deluxe pistol grip stocks retain most all original lacquer, original steel shotgun style buttplate, dustcover correctly marked ‘Winchester Express 50 Cal 95 grs’. VG+ bore, special order nickel trimmed receiver retains 70% original nickel, the balance of the metal is a thinning plum gray patina coloration, ‘1876’ marked folding ladder rear sight, VG deluxe full length forearm and buttstock, stock only missing a tiny piece near the saddlering. Complete with sling rings and Factory Letter. e

Special order 24” full round barrel, full length magazine tube, VG+ shiny bore, smooth clean metal with some very light fabric pattern marks visible basically here and there on the left side of the receiver, barrel retains 75% darkening blue, magazine has turned a plummish patina coloration, receiver retains 40% darkening blue with the balance turned a plummish blue patina. 28” full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, VG bore, clean smooth metal with sharp corners, metal is a dark plum blue patin coloration with excellent markings. Special order sights include a combination front and very scarce 7-leaf express rear. Very nice 3-X deluxe grade checkered walnut with pistol grip, shotgun style buttplate. Stocks retains most original piano lacquer, a small half moon piece is missing at the right front of the forearm; there are light little surface dings and scratches present on the wood but overall gun looks very attractive. e

One of the finest ‘76 case hardened deluxes’ that I’ve ever seen retaining 98-99% bright vivid case colors. Overall on both sides of the receiver, the wood has just very minor handling mars, virtually all of the original varnish remaining, pistol grip checkered; shotgun butt. Original 26” full round barrel, button magazine, original sights include a Beaches combination front, a folding ladder ’76 marked rear and a Lyman vernier tang. Overall gun is excellent+ inside and out; guaranteed 100% all original and complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity. Special order 28” full octagon barrel, half length magazine, correct original sights, VG+ bore. Original pistol grip checkered deluxe grade wood is in excellent condition with a few minor handling mars-still retains most original varnish; rifle style buttplate. Barrel retains 90% somewhat thinning blue, receiver retains probably 75% overall case colors but have thinned to 25-30% original vividness remaining. Likely a Hawaiian Citizen Guard Musket as it went to order No. 35449 on 11/22/82. Stock is marked twice with ‘S9’ (Squad 9). VG+ bore, overall metal is a plum brown patina coloration with traces of blue in the protected areas. Walnut musket forearm has a couple of bayonet chop marks but is sound. Sound, serviceable buttstock as well, a coat of light varnish added to the wood, correct sights and sling swivels. Complete with saber bayonet and Cody Research Form. e
