(13-320) HENRY RIFLE IN CALIBER 44 RIMFIRE
Excellent markings, orig sights, good shootable bore. Orig wood in VG cond with the usual handling mars; has been cleaned at one time but is not undersized and fits well. The receiver has what appears to be an old Civil War inscription very lightly applied on both sides, hard to make out exactly what it says. Beautiful butterscotchy patina coloration with good markings, nice functioning action, all matching numbers. Decent little gun! ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(13-328) RARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL CIVIL WAR WOOD CLEANING ROD
Some of these are encountered now and then but very rarely are they orig like this one is: I took this rod out of a Henry myself over 45 years ago when they were not considered to be correct. I've only seen a couple of them in the last 40 years. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(12-285) ANOTHER MAGNIFICENT HENRY RIFLE FROM MERZ ANTIQUE GUNS
Early 4,XXX serial range, all numbers match on this round heeled variation of the Henry. Very nicely aged brown gray patina on the bbl. There are a couple of marks on the bbl but the metal is generally in nice smooth cond and the octagons are very nice; the patina on the receiver has that very pretty mustardy aged look to it. Nice fitting wood is in VG cond, a little bit of shrinkage at the lower tang and at the toe. Gun is equipped with sling swivels and has a very well defined 'Henry Bump'. Orig sights but rear one is missing the slider. Fine Henry that anybody would be proud to own! Nice gun! ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(13-323) EARLY ROUND HEEL HENRY RIFLE
Early feature gun with the receiver dovetail which has a brass blank in it; probably done 120 years ago? Looks good. Receiver has a rich dark attractive patina to it, bbl is a pleasing dark brown antique patina. Pretty darn good bore in this Henry too! Nice stock that is VG fitting with minimal shrinkage. This rifle equipped with sling swivels and some old boy out on the frontier did have a sling on it as the stock exhibits a real neat wear pattern. Chip out of stock on bottom right side, orig wood finish, rear sight is the sometimes encountered simple flat style dovetail sight. A majestic, beautiful piece of American history! ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(12-284) HENRY LEVER ACTION REPEATING RIFLE
Caliber 44 Rimfire. Orig sights, exc bore. Overall gun is in exc+ cond with 70-75% orig bright blue remaining on the bbl; starting to tone somewhat. Sharp corners, exc markings. Receiver is dark with sharp lines, good patina, untouched, all screws are in exc cond. Orig wood has been lightly cleaned but has not been sanded or undersized, correct matching numbers as is the buttplate. Mechanical cond is exc, crisp and tight, all corners are sharp. Far better than average Henry; in fact it's one of the better ones I've had in a long time. Very attractive. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e
