(10-190) WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 SADDLERING CARBINE IN .44-40

This is one of the quite interesting James Rosier marked carbines. He was a Melbourne, Australia dealer. This particular gun was sold to the Pentridge Jail in Melbourne and has a marking on the elevator: a large numeral ‘40’ as well as Rosier import markings on the bottom of the frame. Gun is in much finer cond than I’ve ever encountered in the past. Excellent bore, original sights, overall retains probably 10 or 15% clean blue in the protected areas, VG+ wood, carbine buttplate, all original; complete with Factory Letter. Very scarce little gun. e
