With special order full nickel finish. Orig wood retains most orig varnish and is in exc+ cond with carbine style buttplate. Mechanical cond is exc+ with crisp tight action, VG bore. Overall metal is exc with 95%+ shiny orig nickel remaining on the receiver; bbl and mag tube have some flaking but still retain 50-60% orig nickel, fine markings. All orig and complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity and correct nickel plated saddlering. Very scarce configuration. e

Caliber 44-40 Rimfire. Orig sights, nice functioning action, VG+ bore, orig wood shows very light handling mars, traces of orig varnish, some saddle wear showing on the forearm. The receiver shows a fair amount of usage but looks good with a medium yellow untouched patina coloration; bbl and mag have turned mostly a plummish brown coloration with good bbl markings. All orig little gun with correct saddlering. Hard to find in any condition at all let alone one like this. Nice gun. e

(9-1061) DELUXE CASED ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MINIATURE 1866 SADDLERING CARBINE
This is a copy of the 66 rifle pictured on page 42 of ‘The Winchester Engraving Book’ by R.L. Wilson. Featuring an American Eagle panel scene on one side and a monogram on the other side. This gun was made for Thomas O’Connor, a Winchester salesman, to be presented to a foreign dignitary. Pictured above in a fitted case with checkered deluxe wood, gold gilted frame, blue barrel and magazine tube. Beautifully done and in new condition. e

3rd Model. Special order nickel finish remains on 30% of the barrel, 90% nickel on magazine, 80% on receiver, considerable nickel remains on hammer, lever and crescent buttplate as well. Engraving is comprised of scroll and dramatic decorative geometric open panels; crisp and sharp. VG fancy burled walnut lightly cleaned at sometime with a VG repair to the underside of the forearm in front, original sights. This carbine has a great look. e
