(EL-S1017) SAVAGE 99 TAKE DOWN RIFLE IN 300 SAVAGE CALIBER
This rifle is equipped with a 24" bbl that retains alot of nice bluing with some thinning in places, fair to good bore, VG blue on receiver, the take down ring does have a couple of light storage marks. Wood is in near exc cond. Good conditioned Savage with nice case colors on the lever. Real decent gun.

(EL-S1016) 20" TAKE DOWN 1899 SAVAGE IN CALIBER 30-30
Nice clean little gun retaining most bbl blue although thinning some in places, receiver blue is very nice but slightly wore at the carry point, wood is in overall good cond; the forearm does have a couple of cracks and a slight missing sliver of wood. Bore is in fair cond and may clean up to good. Nice, quick handling little Savage.

(EL-S1015) 26" OCTAGON BARRELED SAVAGE 1899 RIFLE IN 25-35
Fine old rifle in reasonably good cond with approximately 80% bbl blue; some thinning especially at the carry point; receiver also exhibits about the same amount of blue. Wood is in VG cond with the normal hunting scratches and marks; is solid with no losses or major cracks. This gun has the unique Savage perch belly style stock. All orig except for some sort of protective varnish that was added with some going onto the metal. Octagon bbl'd Savage's are somewhat hard to come by. This would be a decent gun for somebody that enjoys a fine older rifle.

Equipped with a 26" bbl, good to VG bore. Bbl retains alot of blue, receiver is mostly a dullish gray brown patina coloration. The pistol grip perch belly stock is in reasonably good cond with one slight age crack which is solid. Decent early Savage in a good caliber for not a lot of money.

"FOX" stamped on the side of the receiver and also on the bbl. The 28" bbls are choked full and mod and have VG bores. Nice solid lock-up on the action, the lever does go over center a bit, wood is in good cond. This Model has the duck scene etched on the bottom of the frame. Good old gun. e

Caliber 30-30. Stamped on the stock is 'U.P.C. & Co.' A document from the Union Pacific Railway where they sold this gun and about 30-40 other misc guns by serial number accompanies this gun. Excellent condition overall with 98% original blue and vivid case colors on the hammer & lever. Original 26" full round barrel, excellent bore. The stock has been sporterized just ahead of the retaining band-looks like it's always been this way but it's been cut down. Buttstock is in fine condition with a crescent style buttplate. Overall gun is excellent+ with 98% barrel blue, 95% original receiver blue and excellent case colors on the lever. Caliber 303. Orig 26" round tapered bbl, VG shootable bore, orig sights include the correct buckhorn rear and folding tang receiver sights. Pistol grip checkered walnut stock has a considerable amount of orig varnish but the usual dings and mars from hunting use. Overall metal appears to have an old refinish and retains about 90% thinning blue; Leader grade engraved gun. Sharp little gun with good eye appeal. This is the same rifle your cheap uncle brought to deer camp when you were a kid. Uncle Hank wouldn't shell out the extra bucks for a Winchester or Remington. This rifle has a nice bore and petty good bbl blue. Nice wood, Redfield rear bbl sight, Weaver side scope mount and Bushnell 3-9 scope. Uncle Hank wasn't so dumb-these were a good little rifle and are somewhat sought after today. e
