Standard carbine configuration with full mag tube. Nice little rifle with a lot of receiver blue in the neighborhood of 90%+ remaining; the only spot would be on the bottom at the carry point where it's drifting to a lighter brown patina. Bbl retains most blue as well, some thinning and a little wear at the muzzle. No cracks or losses on the stock, overall wood cond is VG. Bore is in good cond but is somewhat dirty, may clean up to be in VG cond. Nice little carbine. e

Orig special order nickel trim. Overall gun is in exc+ cond with 98% orig bright blue on bbl and mag, receiver and buttplate retain virtually all the orig nickel finish, hammer and lever retain all the orig vivid case hardening as well. Nicely figured pistol grip plain grain walnut stocks are in exc cond with most orig varnish. This is one of only two known; probably made for a trick shooter at one time or other. This carbine was initially shipped to Montevideo, Uruguay and has a brass tag in the buttstock so stating this. All bbl blue remains with very light flecking in a couple of spots, mag blue is near perfect, receiver is perhaps 90%+ blue, very nice full fitting wood, crisp clean action, bore is bright, shiny and could use a cleaning. Very nice 1892 SRC. e

Barrel marked with the figure of a bee and 'The Stinger' which were the markings of the Perry Brothers of Brisbane. These stampings were applied at the factory. Original 20" barrel and special order 1/2 length magazine tube, VG bore with scattered pitting. Original sights include a 3-leaf platinum lined rear (with a middle leaf broken). Original walnut is generally VG a few nicks and dings but is solid. Overall metal is VG, smooth and clean with excellent markings, nice action and original saddlering. Orig sights include a folding ladder carbine style sight. Orig pistol grip semi-deluxe wood is in exc cond with very rare carbine style buttplate which is rarely encountered on the carbines; they usually put on a rifle butt when they special order the wood. Most metal on this 38 WCF carbine is a medium brown gray patina coloration with some blue peaking through, VG bore. Nice wood too but is shy at the tangs and has been refinished. Hard to find antique at a fair price. e

Factory records indicate that it was ordered as a smooth bore with a button mag in carbine style wood. Very unusual little gun, apparently ordered by a trick shot for exhibition shooting. The gun is generally in very nice condition with walnut stocks retaining a fair amount of orig varnish, orig sights, VG bore with a few very minor pits, correct saddlering. Overall metal is VG with traces of orig blue in the protected area, the balance turned a plum brownish coloration. Clean, sharp, very nice little gun; complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity.
