The Model 1895 Winchester breaks from the design of other Winchester lever action repeaters by having a box-style magazine rather than a magazine tube.

95 DELUXE RIFLE

95 DELUXE RIFLE Cal 38-72. Original 26" full round bbl. VG bore. Bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Original 3X checkered deluxe wood in excellent condition with sharp checkering and shotgun style buttplate. Overall metal is near excellent as well with 75-80% bbl blue and 75% receiver blue starting to thin and tone. Complete with early antique serial number.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 DELUXE Cal 35 WCF; Fine looking rifle with express flip up sights. Most all bbl blue remaining as well as the receiver with some flaking towards the upper region. Mag has more blue than you will normally see on a 1895. Wood is a beautiful grade 3X. Early style red Winchester pad and checkering complete this deluxe rifle. Wood is exceptional, nice fitting and no cracks. A very nice looking Winchester in a big cal.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 SRC Cal 30 US. Saddle ring carbines are not easy to come by in the 95. This one is a fair example showing quite a bit of use. Still a good solid gun. The metal is mostly a brownish color with some blue in protected areas. Light pin prick pitting in scattered areas. The bore is good. Has some roughness that may clean up. What is really above average on this gun is the wood. The stock is in nice condition and is good fitting. Appears to be original. Forearm and top wood also quite nice. A few dings and scratches but way above average for a 95 carbine. It does have the ladder sight. If you are looking for a carbine, this is a decent one.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 DELUXE Cal 35 WCF. 24" bbl. Deluxe wood is approximately 2x grade. Checkered. A light repair in the wrist area. Receiver has about 60% blue with the remainder starting to turn antique grey coloration. A Lyman 21 is on the gun as is the original rear sight. Gun is also equipped with sling swivels. Appear to be the original Winchester eye type. Shiny bore with nice riflings. A very classy quality firearm!

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 NRA MUSKET

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 NRA MUSKET Original 24" musket style bbl in scarce cal 30-03. It has the Craig Jorgenson flip up rear sight. Stationary post front sight. Correct bbl bands. Correct sling swivels. Correct flat musket style buttplate. Wood is in generally VG condition with a few mars and dings but no splits or cracks. Metal is also VG with 75-80% bbl blue and 30-40 thinning and toning receiver blue. Scarce original gun!

1895 WINCHESTER 24" bbl. In the very scarce 30 Gov't 03. Nice high condition gun with nearly all bbl blue remaining. Receiver also has ample blue with wear to the high points. Wood is nice fitting and VG condition. Crescent buttplate. Beautiful shiny bore in excellent condition! The 30-03 was not in use very long and this gun has not been used very much. Nice rifle!

1895 WINCHESTER RIFLE

1895 WINCHESTER RIFLE 30 US. Standard 28" bbl. This gun was redone long ago with a quality re blue. Not over buffed. Looks good. Has aged to a pleasing almost correct color. Wood also was lightly redone. Is still proud to the metal. Basically just a coat of varnish was added. Action is nice. Bore is good. Marbles rear sight has been installed. Good solid rifle for not alot of money.

1895 WINCHESTER IN 30 GOVT 1906 This is in the 24" rifle configuration. Has the crescent buttplate. Also equipped with a Lyman 21 sight. Clean smooth metal with most blue. Some thinning on the bbl. Receiver has blue in protected areas with the remainder turning light plum/brown. Mag also retains quite a bit of blue. Original wood in good condition. A light coat of varnish added many years ago. It is not undersized. bore condition is VG. Solid gun you can use and enjoy.

RARE MODEL 1895 30 GOVT 1906 TAKE DOWN

RARE MODEL 1895 30 GOVT 1906 TAKE DOWN A very desirable gun in the great 30-06 cal. Add to that, extremely high condition, and you really have something! Nearly all the blue is on this gun with the exception of a few light spots on the receiver. Wood is exceptional with nearly all the original finish remaining. Inside is just as nice as the outside. A fine vintage rifle that would still be very usable.

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 RIFLE Cal 35 WCF. Features original front sight and of the period replacement buckhorn rear sight. Original wood is VG+ with a light coat of varnish added. Unsanded and looks great. Complete with a rifle style buttplate. Overall metal is VG with 75-80% original blue on the receiver starting to tone some. Bbl retains about half the blue. Still looks pretty good.

MODEL 1895 WINCHESTER

24" bbl rifle in cal 35 WCF. Nice bright shiny bbl blue with slight wear at muzzle and light thinning in places. The receiver is about 50% blue and 50% flaking grey coloration. Mag tube is about 25% blue. Buttstock is the crescent variety and has a filled hole on the bottom where the sling swivel was at one time. Overall condition is good. A sliver of wood missing on the right hand upper corner. No cracks and wood is solid. Generally good condition with normal usage marks. Forearm about the same. Solid wood. Action and bore VG.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 24” BARRELED RIFLE IN CALIBER 30 GOVT.03 Nice orig conditioned gun that has turned a brownish gray in the receiver area and a thinning blue on the bbl, good fitting stock but is shy at the toe due to wear and shrinkage. Forearm has nicely done custom checkering. Bore is in good cond, some pitting on the crescent buttplate.

Cal 30 US. Bbl has been lightened to 22" length. Fair bore. Winchester buckhorn rear sight and correct replaced front sight. Original wood has been replaced with a modern wood. Overall metal is about good with some cold blue applied at one time. Overall in fair condition.

Exc bore, orig sights include Lyman hunters front and typical buckhorn flat-top sporting rear. Orig wood retains most orig varnish and is in exc cond with correct hardrubber buttplate. Overall gun is exc as well with 98-99% bright vivid bbl blue, 97-98% lustrous receiver blue. Rec is tapped for the Model 90 21 rec sight which has been removed. Exc and all orig throughout. Complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity.

.405 CALIBER WINCHESTER MODEL 95 RIFLE

This is a desirable caliber and has a crescent buttplate. Most .405 cal had the shotgun butt. The crescent butt looks very nice on the 95. It is a pretty decent gun with blue in protected areas. The remainder of the receiver is grey/brown/blue. Some light to moderate pin prick pitting on the left hand side probably from being in a case. The bbl has a lot of nice original blue. A couple spots of pin prick frecking. Right hand side blue is very nice and no pitting on the receiver. The buttstock looks and fits good. Probably a coat of oil added many years ago. The forearm, likewise, is in nice condition. A number of achievement marks on the forearm. It gives it some character. With sling eyes. Original sights on the 24" bbl. This would be a very nice hunting rifle.

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 MUSKET IN 30-40 KRAG

Exc bore, orig wood is exc+. Overall gun is exc retaining 95% bright shiny orig blue but it looks like somebody got something on the receiver-there's some spots where the blue has been removed. Other than that, it appears to be nearly unfired. Exc+ inside and out, hard to find in this condition.

Orig 28 rapid taper full round bbl, orig checkered deluxe grade wood shows a fair amount of mars and dings but no splits or cracks; complete with shotgun style buttplate. Orig sights include side mount receiver 21 series sight. Overall metal is generally VG with 50-60% bright blue remaining. Fairly decent little gun.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 GRADE 1

A newer production rifle made by U.S.R.A. This is a late version gun with top tang safety. Cal 270. As new condition and has possibly never been fired with only a few handling marks. A fine looking rifle!

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 NRA MUSKET IN 30-06

Correct 24 bbl, orig wood includes top wood and is in generally VG cond with a few scratches and dings, very slight loss (1/8" high x 1" long) on the forearm where it meets the receiver; other than that it's fine. Good bore, probably 50% toning bbl blue, receiver mostly a plumish coloration with traces of blue in the protected area. All orig, scarce with a 24" bbl.

.30 U.S. Cal. 28" tapered bbl, fine bore. Bbl retains 95% shiny blue, left side rec has 70% lustrous blue, 40% on right-balance flaked to a gray patina. Lyman No. 21 receiver sight, non-checkered deluxe grade walnut retains nearly all of it's original high gloss lacquer finish; with rifle style buttplate.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE IN .30 U.S.

28 barrel, fine bore, 80% barrel blue overall, the balance turning a plum blue gray coloration, replacement front sight blade, filler blank rear and a VG receiver peep sight which was made to resemble a No. 21; well done. Wood shows fair usage with 1/4" x 2" piece missing near hammer, varnish added; rifle buttplate.

EXTRA LIGHTWEIGHT WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE

.30 U.S. Caliber. 22" bbl. Factory records indicate that only 88 Model 95 rifles were ordered with a shorter than standard bbl. This is the only lightweight that I've ever seen. Fine bore and generally fine condition overall. 95% lustrous blue overall with a minimal amount of pin prick pitting on right side bbl near the muzzle and right upper side of the receiver. Near exc walnut, hardrubber shotgun buttplate. A rare find; with Cody Research Form which refers to Special Order dark wood. Sweet little gun!

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE WITH 24” BBL

Caliber 35 WCF. Special order 'Climbin Lyman' receiver sight with aperture, standard Lyman front and King rear bbl sights, receiver is blue brown, bbl has a lot of blue with some thinning. Bore is good. Very nice fitting wood with usual dings, scratches and hunting scars. Sliver missing from forearm. This antique gun has aged gracefully. Good gun!

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 CARTRIDGE TEST RIFLE IN CALIBER .30 ARMY

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 CARTRIDGE TEST RIFLE IN CALIBER .30 ARMY Fine bore, Musket length 28 barrel still in the white (unpolished). It has excellent markings and a date stamp '8-25-16'. Receiver retains 85-90% original blue, Lyman Model 21 receiver sight, Musket buttstock with trapdoor buttplate. Wood near rear of buttstock is battered from being clamped by a machine rest. The front of the musket forearm has been modified to a shorter style. Documentation indicates this test rifle was still in Winchester's inventory as of 3-11-1957. Also listed in 'The Standard Velocity Test Rifle' book as a 'Check Gun' in the ballistic laboratory. Rare, interesting item.

.35 WCF Caliber. 24" bbl, VG bore, metal almost all of a high quality refinish. King buckhorn rear sight. Checkered deluxe walnut lightly freshened but still in fine cond with fairly sharp checkering; steel shotgun buttplate. Crisp action.

WINCHESTER MODEL 95 DELUXE TAKE DOWN SPORTING RIFLE

Caliber 30-06. Orig 24" bbl, VG+ bore, orig sights include Lyman front, typical buckhorn rear as well as Lyman side mount receiver sight. Orig checkered straight grip deluxe burl wood is in VG cond with a light coat of varnish having been added. There appears to be a special order stock with a higher that normal comb; complete with sling eyes and correct Silvers factory pad. Overall metal VG with 90-95% orig thinning bbl blue, receiver retains 40-50% toning blue starting to plum in areas. Nice, clean, sharp, all orig little gun.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 TAKE DOWN DELUXE ENGRAVED SPORTING RIFLE

This gun is in the 73,XXX serial number range. If you consult R.L. Wilson's Winchester Firearm Engraving book, you'll see several different Model 95's in the 73,74,75 thousand serial number range that were made for the Fancy Finished Arms catalog of 1917 that never materialized. This is one of the new patterns, no doubt and done by Stokes-very typical of his engraving with very delicate scrolls and shell motifs. Caliber 30-06 with a VG+ bore, orig sights include correct Lyman side mount 21 series receiver sight and the engraving is done in such a way that it does not impede on the sight. Orig 3X checkered straight stock deluxe burl wood shows some usage but no splits or cracks; light wear to the checkering; complete with orig Silvers pad. Generally VG+ cond throughout; guaranteed all orig. Engraved Model 95 Winchesters are very hard to find.
