CONSECUTIVE SERIAL NUMBER THREE GUN SET OF COLT LIGHTNING SADDLERING CARBINES

Item # C400-402-19-275

32 Caliber. All are in the same configuration, all have British proof marks and 'R.B. Rodda & Co. London & Calcutta'. These Colts are in the 57,XXX serial range. Gun #1: Very nice receiver blue with a little flaking and a few scratches. Thinning and turning bbl blue, VG bore, nice wood. Gun #2: This gun has nice bbl blue and a VG bore but appears like the receiver has been refinished a long time ago. Orig forearm wood and extra figure replacement buttstock. Gun #3: 95-98% bright shiny Colt blue on receiver, nice bbl blue which is thinning toward the muzzle. Exc bore, good case colors on hammer, great wood. This one is a dandy! To find two consecutive numbered guns is very difficult but to find THREE consecutives is very rare indeed. They should stay together but will sell separately.

VERY INTERESTING PAIR OF FACTORY ENGRAVED COLT PUMP ACTION LIGHTNING RIFLES

Item # C512-20-411

One is a 22 Caliber small frame and the other is a Medium frame rifle in cal 44-40. An extraordinary pair of guns. Both feature the typical Vine and Leaf scroll work. Both have pistol grip checkered maple stock. Both are oct. The 22 cal is consecutive serial numbered to another engraved gun that was presented by the president of Colt to Cyrus Skinner. It is identical to the gun pictured on pg 272 of The Colt Engraving Book" by R.L. Wilson. The other medium framed rifle is a 44 cal listed by serial number on pg 270 of the same book. It features identical style engraving pattern as that gun. There is only about 20 medium framed rifles engraved and about 20 small framed rifles engraved. This makes this a very scarce pair of guns. Tang sights. Fine bores. Excellent condition on both guns. Overall metal is near excellent as well with a considerable amount of blue retained on both guns. Very attractive and hard to improve upon. Very few of these engraved Lightnings ever hit the market. This is the only pair I have ever had or encountered.

COLT MEDIUM FRAME SRC

Item # C1090-20-417

Previously in the collection of Albert Quintana, the King of Spain. I personally bought this gun from the great-great grandson of the King along with the entire collection that was offered for sale. A family rumor has it that it was presented personally by a representative from Colt to the King. The gun is well documented with alot of paperwork and guaranteed absolutely 100% authentic. Overall cond of the gun is approximately 75% blue starting to tone and plum to a brownish plum patina but still good blue showing; fine bore, orig sights. Orig wood has a few handling mars but generally VG+ with most varnish remaining, complete with saddlering. This is a well documented, historically significant gun.
